Jan Buse, Head of E-Commerce, is working for the HELLWEG Group since eight years. From the Dortmund headquarters, 97 HELLWEG stores in Germany and Austria, 53 DIY superstores and garden centres of the sister company BayWa Bau & Garten in southern Germany and the online shops hellweg.de, hellweg.at and baywa-baumarkt.de are managed and controlled. The Group also includes garden centres named "Augsburg Gartencenter" with seven locations in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The complexity of logistics, especially due to the high number of stores and the strong interlinking of off- and online retail, requires a flexible omnichannel system. Since February 2019, HELLWEG has been working with the Order Management System aroma®. Jan Buse talks to Dr. Martin Anduschus about experiences, lockdowns and changes.
