Memberships

Through our membership in various organisations and initiatives, we are committed to issues that are close to our hearts. For example, Arvato Systems is an active member of the nationwide 30 LEEN networks (Learning Energy Efficiency Networks), we are involved in the International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers (IABM), are active in BITKOM, the digital association of Germany, and are a member of many other associations. 


Certifications

  • Certificate for social-ecological impact with IT hardware

    AfB gGmbH is Europe's largest non-profit IT company and specializes in extending the life of used IT and mobile devices through professional data destruction, refurbishment, and remarketing. The recognized inclusion company employs around 500 people in five countries, approximately 45% of whom are people with disabilities.

  • C5 certificates for verifiable cloud security

    Arvato Systems has C5 test certificates that cover the cloud services Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) for both Type 1 (adequacy test) and Type 2 (effectiveness test over a test period). The type 2 certificate was also issued for the Google Cloud service and the Arvato Systems Virtual Private Cloud developed in-house.

  • Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) | Grade: B

    As a nonprofit organization, CDP is a global leader in environmental disclosure. CDP helps governments and organizations reduce fossil fuel emissions, protect forests, and conserve water resources for future generations.

    EcoVadis is a globally recognized provider of corporate sustainability ratings and evaluates companies' commitment to sustainability, environmental protection, and social and ethical responsibility.

  • ISS ESG | Grade: Prime

    Bertelsmann regularly has its sustainability performance evaluated by the independent research and rating agency ISS-ESG. This provides an external, objective assessment of Bertelsmann's performance in the areas of ecology, social affairs and governance.

  • MSCI ESG Ratings | Grade: A

    MSCI ESG Ratings aim to measure a company's management of financially relevant ESG risks and opportunities. A rules-based methodology is used to identify industry leaders and laggards based on their exposure to ESG risks and how well they manage those risks relative to other companies.
