Project Overview

Initial situation

As a modern and agile company in a very dynamic market, Canyon looked into and implemented various cloud solutions at an early stage. Due to its rapid growth and global orientation, a higher degree of automation and harmonization across all areas was desired. In addition to the IT department, other specialist departments were also to be supported with a modern environment.

Vision

The aim was to build a customized cloud environment that fits the company's goals and will also serve as a future-proof basis for additional projects. All areas of Canyon should be enabled to carry out their innovations in an agile manner and without delays. To enable this freedom, Canyon's IT infrastructure team is creating the framework with predefined governance rule sets.

The solution

The project focus for a secure and agile foundation was a governance concept, an adapted landing zone according to Microsoft best practices, the development of a modular and highly automated architecture, a comprehensive quality gate of the landing zone, the migration from cloud to cloud and app modernization from on-premises to cloud-native applications.
