Project Overview

Initial Situation

The existing process landscape at Prokon had evolved over the years, but was maintained in an outdated tool that did not support further BPMN-compliant modeling or changes to the process model.

As a result, there was a lack of transparency, uniform standards, and a solid foundation for operational process management and further development.

Vision

The goal was to establish a transparent and standardized process framework that is firmly embedded in the company, actively implemented, and serves as the foundation for management, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Solution

Arvato Systems supported Prokon as the general contractor in selecting and implementing BIC Process Design as its central platform for business process management.

The focus was on:

  • Rapid deployment and implementation of the BIC solution
  • Empowering administrators and modelers through targeted training (including BPMN 2.0)
  • Consulting support during the migration of existing processes
  • Establishing best practices for sustainable process modeling and maintenance

The migration and design of the processes were carried out independently by Prokon —with support from regular technical consultations and Q&A sessions with Arvato Systems.
