Arvato Systems Intensifies Cooperation with rku.it and Schleupen in the Smart Metering Sector
Gütersloh / Herne / Moers – The IT service provider Arvato Systems is strengthening its strategic partnerships with rku.it and Schleupen in the smart metering business area. The three providers already support more than 200 utilities companies, especially around gateway administration. Arvato Systems does this with its proven "myBusiness Smart Energy" (MBSE) software, rku.it acts as a certified IT service provider, and Schleupen offers its certified ICT platform based on MBSE. Thus, about a quarter of the utilities in Germany with a rollout potential of more than five million smart metering systems are already served in this market environment.
By the complete rollout plan from the Act to Restart the Digitization of the Energy Transition, the customers who have already opted for the strong partnership alliance have a potential of more than five million metering points or devices to be installed by 2030. Since the interaction of the partners' systems has already been tested for many years, Arvato Systems and rku.it, or Schleupen, see themselves in the best possible position to win additional municipal utilities and energy providers as customers.
Commitment to Smart Metering Business Area
For Olaf Steinbrink, Managing Director for Utilities and Industrial Mid-Caps at Arvato Systems, the deepened partnership with rku.it and Schleupen is a commitment to the business area and a signal to the market: "We are not only sustaining our portfolio of services in the area of utilities and smart metering but strengthening it through the cooperation and the associated focus on two partner systems. As a result, we are in a position to continue offering meter operators in Germany a very good solution for all tasks in the future." Dr. Volker Kruschinski, CEO of Schleupen SE, also sees further growth opportunities through the intensification of the partnership with Arvato Systems: "Our fully certified ICT platform for gateway administration is based on the proven 'myBusiness Smart Energy' software and provides all other required ISO-certified IT and infrastructure components. In addition, we offer our customers the management of the communication channels to the gateways and the provision of the certificates via our own certified Sub Certification Authority."
