WITTE Automotive: Successful SAP S/4HANA Transformation
Brownfield approach, strong go-live, and a new foundation for performance and innovation
Improved Performance and Stability with SAP S/4HANA at WITTE Automotive
WITTE Automotive is an established medium-sized company in the automotive supply industry. The company develops and manufactures locking and access systems for vehicles and operates internationally in Europe, the Americas, and China. To future-proof its system landscape, WITTE Automotive decided to migrate from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
Together with Arvato Systems, WITTE Automotive implemented a challenging transformation project that went far beyond a purely technical migration. The goal was to preserve proven processes, reduce legacy technical burdens, boost performance, and simultaneously create a robust platform for further optimizations. The project gained additional momentum due to external factors such as the last-minute currency changeover in Bulgaria, and this is precisely where the strength of the partnership became evident.
Advantages
The project was highly demanding in terms of both content and timeline. This made it all the more important to have a partner by our side who could respond flexibly, quickly allocate resources, and deliver reliably even under pressure.
Project Highlights
Go-Live after 14 months
19,000 test cases performed
Up to 450 test participants in the project
Test coverage of 97–98%
Hypercare reduced to eight weeks
S/4HANA + Euro Implementation in Parallel
What was crucial for us was not only the successful migration to SAP S/4HANA, but also the nature of our collaboration. The client and service provider became a single team that tackled challenges pragmatically and successfully steered the project to completion.
