Arvato Systems supported the BMW Group in implementing a platform based on MDM - Product 360 to manage product information. This included designing and integrating the IT infrastructure as well as providing expert consulting on editorial processes.

The user interfaces in MDM - Product 360 include a range of adjustment options. Arvato Systems took advantage of this flexibility to meet the client’s needs, focusing on usability for various roles and optimal adaptation to processes.

This made it possible to efficiently manage product information on new and used vehicles, spare parts, and accessories.

Moreover, the platform includes the option to distribution data in a timely, targeted manner by implementing automated interfaces to a multitude of systems.

Solution

Informatica MDM – Product 360 helps to consolidate information silos and thereby create a unified platform for global product data. This can prevent the spread of contradictory or incomplete information along individual channels.

This centralization provides a complete overview of all business-critical data. As a result, global production data can be centrally enriched and stored.

Moreover, MDM – Product 360 can also be used to optimize the timely provision of product information all around the world.

Summary

With the support of Arvato Systems, the rollout of a platform for global product data – which in turn will establish a “single source of truth” – will increase the transparency of the product information that needs to be distributed.
