In a demanding and complex system environment, the entire order processing of the MOSOLF Group's technical and logistics centers was significantly expanded in SAP.

Existing contracts, customer and service orders as well as the entire materials management were transferred to a new company and new organizational structures. The SAP cloud platform with its own applications is used for vehicle receipt and damage recording on the compounds.

As part of the complex project, the INFORM Yard Management System was also newly introduced by the manufacturer. In addition, existing workshop systems such as Carisma and Carflex were integrated.

Arvato Systems supported the project through all project phases - blueprint, implementation, training, integration test, go live, hypercare - and during the rollouts to more than nine locations.

Project Overview

Initial Situation

A heterogeneous, outdated system landscape in the technical and logistics centers have made it necessary to renew the system landscape.

A new compound management system/yard management must be connected to the existing SAP system.

The functions additionally contained in the legacy systems must be integrated into the new SAP system in a process-optimized manner.

Vision

The planned system harmonization and process optimization is intended to standardize processes on the compounds, lead to an improvement in performance, and reduce process and IT costs.

Solution

Together with MOSOLF, a "business blueprint" was first created and all required functionalities defined. This was followed by the implementation of the optimized processes and the integration of the compound management system, transport scheduling and processing, data exchange with customer systems for order entry and notification, and numerous other interfaces.

A connection to the SAP Cloud Platform as well as to Arvato Systems' own apps was made for the recording of incoming goods and the reporting of damage. In the respective independent divisions of the MOSOLF Group, various processes (sales organizations, purchasing organizations, company codes, plants, etc.) were integrated into their own SAP organizational structures.

In addition, purchasing, procurement, invoice verification and inventory management for the locations of MOSOLF Logistics & Services GmbH were introduced in SAP.

Process harmonization and roll-out took place across all locations.
