Introduction of CoreMedia as New Editorial Platform for a Corporate Website

The previous Internet presence of CLAAS, the manufacturer of agricultural machinery with a longstanding tradition, was outdated in terms of technology and visual concept. What’s more, the pages had not been optimized for display on mobile devices.

Project Overview

Background Situation

Both content creation and page management needed to be simplified. In addition, through great innovation in all product fields, more and more online content was developed for country-specific product ranges – to the extent that marketing could no longer efficiently manage the content with the Content Management System they had been using.

Vision

CLAAS was looking to relaunch its Internet presence in terms of both technology and content in order to make a fresh start with clean data in a new system. As with the implementation of the previous CMS, CLAAS turned to Arvato Systems to provide technical support for the project.

Solution

Arvato Systems implemented the tools for maintaining the content and adapted the editorial concepts inherent in CoreMedia to the specific needs of CLAAS based on the Content Management System CoreMedia Blueprint. The translation management tool Ontram was also integrated into the new CMS and enhanced by a series of additional features. A status management tool now provides information on the current processing status of translations, for example.
